Founded in 1928, BHMS is a member of the Benedict Schools of Switzerland. The school has a mission to provide high-quality education to students who have a passion for the fields of Business Management and Hospitality Management.The school campuses and student dormitories are located in the beautiful city center of Lucerne, within walking distance of the city center. This city boasts many picturesque natural landscapes and unique landmarks that attract numerous tourists. At BHMS, approximately 900 students each year are equipped with the skills to develop their future management roles in business, tourism, and hospitality. Undergraduate Programs of Hospitality Management

Description:

Hospitality Management programs at B.H.M.S. are specifically designed for young adults and professionals wishing to enter the international hotel and hospitality field and who aspire to a management career in the tourism sector.

  • Full Speed Bachelor of Arts Degree: B.H.M.S (together with The Robert Gordon University) has designed one of the fastest track BA Degrees in Switzerland without compromising its educational quality. At B.H.M.S. students can achieve a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management in 18 months of studying plus an 18-month paid internship period. This gives B.H.M.S. graduates an advantage of studying 6 months less while gaining 6 additional months of paid work experience in Switzerland.
  • Unique 5-Week Term System: B.H.M.S. has implemented a unique system of education by dividing a 20-week semester into four mini-terms of 5 weeks each. This system enables students to focus on only 3 to 4 academic subjects at a time instead of the usual 8-10 subjects as in other Swiss hotel schools. As a result, the B.H.M.S. students are able to complete 12-14 academic subjects within a 6-month period without overloading them.
  • Guaranteed Internship & Graduate Placement: During every academic year, students are required to carry out a 4-6 month industry training period in a hotel or a restaurant approved by B.H.M.S.. In addition, B.H.M.S. works with numerous international placement agencies that specialize in placing graduate students in Europe, Asia and North America. A Career and Placement Counselor assists students with placements in hotels and restaurants in Switzerland and abroad.

Diploma in Business & Hospitality Management

Description:

This one-year program is designed for those who have completed their secondary education and are looking for a career in the hospitality/tourism industry or the international business sector. The program has a dual focus on:

  • Developing a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry
  • Building knowledge of key business and management principles.

Course structure:

It comprises of one semester of 20 weeks plus 4 - 6 months of paid Internship in Switzerland or overseas.

Admission Requirements:

  • Completed secondary school diploma
  • Completed B.H.M.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • IELTS 5.0 level or equivalent
